it's ok. I remember coming here 30 years ago, and it was awesome, indoor pool and putt putt golf! But it's old, there were bugs in every room, my family occupied 4 rooms (2 suites). Poolside access is great for kids, but you will find no air flow, as the air source is humid and chlorinated from the pools. Our bathroom area felt like a cave, poor lighting. I question the cleanliness, the tub seemed to be wiped down and there were sunflower seeds on the floor near our bed, I'll assume from the last guest. It is conveniently close to a grocery store though!
Although the situation was resolved by upper management, it should not have occured. We were treated poorly by the On-Duty desk attendant while staying in town for a funeral. We were also told the Bar was not open, because no one WANTED to work. I'm sure our experience would have been different had said person not been on shift.
Room was clean and fine. Breakfast bar is not so great. But I would stay here again.
The night security guard shut the lights off at the pool at about 930 pm and tried to get us (about 15 people) to leave. There was another group being much, much louder than we were (that group was similar in size) and also left a huge mess yet our group who most of the group was staying there (10 of the 15) was the problem. Really annoying that we had more rooms and less noise and left a very minimal mess and we were getting yelled at by that Rent-A-Cop wannabe. 2 hot tubs is nice.
Cozy hotel in Mitchell. The pool and hot tubs are very nice. They upgraded me from a standard suite to a Jacuzzi suite. Treated my family like rock stars! The staff went above and beyond from the reservation on the phone to arrival, to helping with our extra requests, and great food and drinks in their restaurant. Breakfast was phenomenal. Will stay again!
