Well, it breaks up the long drive on the I-90, so it's not all bad, and the historical movie that they show is interesting. The Art they make with the corn is nice, but it's a half hour visit at most.

He is married, has a little boy and he has a great job. Also long as he is happy so am I. Now my youngest wants to relocate there and he plans on taking the same career path. He is also promised employment.

I am so totally grateful for Mitchell South Dakota. I found Mitchell through Fox News Channel. It introduce Mitchell Technical School. I was able to send my son there. He loves Mitchell South Dakota and he now calls it home.

A magnificent spectacle! We had no cell service traveling through the night in South Dakota, but the ambient glow of the onion dome worked as a beacon to my traveling party. Hearing faint, patriotic music to beckon us even closer to this opulent structure, we pressed on towards the palace, for it was calling to us in Lee Greenwood's angelic voice. The music swelled as we could see the American flag flying high atop this imposing edifice. The palace is wrapped in the finest of maize and corn, and oriented in stunning murals that pierce the very soul with their raw beauty. We could make out tributes to Willie Nelson, Elvis, John Travolta-- American heroes of the most honorable caliber that are strongly tied to our cultural identity as a proud nation. Indeed, I gladly stood up next to my fellow men that had also made the pilgrimage to the Corn Palace. In that moment, we all knew, we all felt it-- we all were ONE. Although the Palace was closed by the time we reached it, I will never forget that night. When I am old, and in the throes of death, it is said that you will have your life "flash before your eyes." I will once again see the Corn Palace that I had traveled to long ago, and I will be sure to die with a warm smile because I will know that my life was truly fulfilled. Thank you, Corn Palace.

Thee PREMIER convention center in South Dakota. Saw Show Choir there once. I think the Biebs was in it. They should give out free caramel corn as a gimmick.

What an interesting place - we drove out from Sioux Falls on 1/27/17 - had a lot of fun reading all the information off the walls, seeing the change of the murals through the years and the evolution of art through corn. The ability to take an ear of corn in multiple colors nail it to a wall, and put it together in a way that the eye can take the color changes and SEE the mural as it was meant to be seen. What was really cool is that we were there on a Saturday afternoon while the High School boys were warming up for the Friday nite game. A great stop along the way.
