Helpful and friendly employees, but very dusty. If you have allergies to dust and trees, then you should make sure that you took your allergy medicine before going. Other than that, they have a good selection of items you need or didn't know you needed.

We ran out of paint while painting our home. We came to this menards to get 2 more gallons. I had it written on a card from the sioux falls menards that said the brand, type, etc. I gave the man working in the paint section that card. He set my paint on the counter when it was done and didn't even tell me it was done. I had to go up and ask. I take the paint to go pay for it and realize it's a lot cheaper than I paid in Sioux falls. I looked at the paint, he mixed me the completely incorrect paint. It was for exterior and the gallon said interior and I got maxbond the first time and he gave me durabond. I gave him a card with all the specifications and he still made my gallons incorrectly. We live 40 miles from mitchell. Had I made it all the way home to realize We had the wrong paint I would've been extremely upset. We were in a large hurry and had to go to customer service, wait for them to make the correct sample in the back, and go back and wait again at customer service. The staff need to pay better attention to what they are doing and have way better customer service. wait again at customer service and finally left. I didn't feel it necessary to check the paint to make sure it was the correct type. I figured I could trust someone working in the paint section but I guess not. We wasted an hour there when it should've taken 20 minutes. I will be taking my business to the menards I can trust in Sioux falls.
I would normally give you a better score, however my last visit made me question if I was in Menards or Wal Mart! After spending considerable time finding what i needed and a few things I just picked up because they were a great deal I found myself ready to check out...ONLY 2 LANES OPEN!!! one was 6 items or less the other a long line with 2 different people needing managers to help with price checks....the young man getting the items and doing the price check was walking so slow if he went any slower he would be in reverse! He acted as if not a care in the world and he would get to it in his own good time!! Both lines were all the way to the isle you walk towards garden center! I know you were not understaffed because there were associates in every other isle. My question is ...why in the world when we are this close to Christmas and stores are very busy....including yours, you would only have 2 lanes open!!??? I can usually get checked out fairly fast so I plan accordingly if I have another place to be. This was poor planning on your part and in my eyes really not concerned with us the consumer. I waited in line well over 15 mins. I was frustrated with how the lines were handled ( I was not alone) so I pushed my cart aside and left the store! This is the first time I have ever had a bad experience in your Menards and I do hope my venting will help your management consider US THE CONSUMER!
