Of course it is more expensive than other places, but the majority of the things they sell aren't meant to last just one season. When I need something of quality, and want to be able to see it work or hold it in my hands, Cabelas is my go to place.
I've been to this store many times. This is the first time I've felt my visit needed a review. Went in to get a bow. I haven't shot any archery since high school nearly 15 years ago. I dealt with Mike, who is an experienced bow hunter. He helped me out quite a bit by the time we found a bow that fit me and my budget (I measured at a hair over 30" draw and the first one ended up being too short. The second one we set up at 31" and it came out just right). I got some great advice for maintenace and fine tuning my sights as well as a bow that is completely set up and arrows cut to my draw.
